thunder road
I want to thank Bruce Springsteen for the beautiful, chilling harmonica solo in the beginning of perhaps his sweetest song, “Thunder Road.” It randomly just came on my iTunes and it made me super excited for summer. YES!
It’s absolutely disgustingly gorgeous out and I stayed in the air conditioning because I’d rather be planted on the beach back home than in this shitty, smelly city. Ugh. Rittenhouse has been creeping me out. No really—everyone, like, wreaks. And it’s too crowded because there’s no where else to go.
But really, I’m great. I’ve had 2 good days in a row, and I need this to continue. I’ve been proposed amazing opportunities and I hope the near future will be my time again to be challenged and stifled by fun work.
Some things of the random:
- Meg’s in TN right now seeing Wertz and Dave Barnes play. Jealous. I was supposed to go, but well, college sucks my life. They sounded unbelievable, as usual and Matt remembers my dad—he’s seriously famous. What an accomplishment. Matt Wertz loves my father, sweet.
- Dad’s in Mrytle Beach losing at golf, but hey, there’s a Five Guys there-he’s probably muching on some grindage. He told me he wanted to break 100 ?? I asked him what Tiger Woods gets and he laughed and said he averages like 70 when he plays. Keep dreaming big Dad!
- So pumped—I see Sara Bareilles in 5 days!
- Uh Huh Her is playing Philly in May, but I’m committed to the NY show already. I can’t believe I’m actually going, hasn’t hit me yet. Totally freaking because I’m def. going to meet Leisha Hailey. badass.
- For all you haters, I’ve looped MC’s album like 50345 times already and I dance and sing to myself because her new ghetto album is the bee’s knees!
